It was announced today that Zimmerman Truck Lines will continue to offer their increased driver sign-on bonus. This bonus was recently raised to $3,750. Chief Financial Officer Derek Ritzman said, “Zimmerman Truck Lines is aggressively seeking qualified drivers to expand our fleet and deliver our customers’ freight. We have positions open right now in both the Flatbed and Van Divisions.”
Minimum starting pay for Vans is $55,000 per year, but it’s easy to earn well beyond that. Drivers who can work an extra day in any week (drivers choice) qualify for a 50% bonus for that extra day as well as a mileage incentive bonus. “Newly hired van drivers can make $65,000 per year or more,” according to Ritzman. “Our Flatbed drivers are paid by percentage and average $77,000 per year. That equates to over 70 cents per dispatched mile.” Almost every driver is home weekends as well.
Every driver qualifies for an annual raise on the anniversary of their hire date. Stop-off pay, detention, safety bonuses, and fuel-mileage bonuses are in addition to the salaries and wages. Paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick leave, and paid personal days are also part of the benefits package. Ritzman finished by saying “Anyone who has a Class-A CDL and is interested should stop by and talk to me personally. We are flexible and will do everything we can to find the right fit for you. I can show you how you can reach these income levels in your first year.” Driver applicants should call 844-THE-ZTEAM (844-843-9832) or stop by our offices at 190 E Industrial Drive in Mifflintown, PA.
